Industrial Metal Music

Industrial metal (often known as i-metal) is a type of music that draws from industrial music and heavy metal. The industrial incorporates electronics such as sequencers and drum machines and "found" object such as trash cans and bottles. Likewise, the heavy metal part uses the volume and theatrical effects. Industrial metal bands peaked in the late 1990s and early 2000s with such groups as Ministry, Godflesh, Nine Inch Nails. Many sub-groups formed with the sound overlapping elements of Nu Metal.
