Metal Music

Metal music (more commonly called heavy metal) is a type of rock music.  Created in the late 1960s and early 1970s, it is characterized by intense sound, extreme amplification, long guitar solos, and strong beats.  It is the most extreme form of rock with its volume, brute energy, and theatrics.  Early heavy metal bands included Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple.
