| AS LONG AS WE'RE INTO MUSIC; I made it BIG this morning. | | I've listened to every genre of music but I outright reject rap and "gangsta" stuff. Maybe that's because Country music has played a major part in my history, probably because my Dad was Country/Western as far back as I could remember and we shared a lot of time and a lot of that music over a beer or two. Even at work, he had the radio on the Country station all day long and almost every album he owned was Country. We were both taken by Gospel, but also tear-jerking, sheat-kicking and truck-driving sounds, from Hank Williams to Willy Nelson, Patsy Cline to Loretta Lynn and everybody in between.I just want to say that I loved the stuff, but when I first heardcharlie pride, it was a turn of the corner for me. It was country at it's most bestest. The reason I bring this up is twofold; I found CP on you tube this morning and it reminded me...
CP sang a Gospel song that I've never heard from anyone else and I love it, and would love to be able to sing it again:"In Jesus' Name. Amen." I think that's the whole title but it's not on you tube, and although I remember the tune well, I can't recall all the lyrics.Part of it... | |
