| | Do SAD SONGS make you cry? | | I'm a bit of a softie when it comes to listening to sad or slow songs and it's not unknown for me to start crying like a baby when I hear a song with beautiful words. I don't know what it is but there are certain songs that make me cry, it can be very embarrassing if you're listening to music with friends and pretty embarrassing when it happens when I'm listening to the radio whilst driving and a lovely sad song comes on and I end up driving with tears rolling down my cheeks. Looks pretty stupid and kinda dangerous too as I end up having to dig around for a tissue!Some examples of songs that make me boo like a baby are: We've Only Just Begun - The Carpenters, Woman - John Lennon, Seasons in the Sun - Terry Jacks, Careless Whisper - George Michael. There are lots more but I think these will do as examples for now. Am I one of the few people that are this over-emotional when it comes to music? I wonder sometimes if I am unstable LOL! Why? | | Some of my favorites are Here Without You by Three Doors Down, Superman and 100 Years by Five For Fighting, Rockstar by Nickelback, pretty much anything by Rob Thomas and Green Day, Blood Money by Bon Jovi, Anything by Kelly Clarkson, To Make You Feel My Love, If Tomorrow Never Comes, and The Dance by Garth Brooks. Also, I love One More Day by I think Diamond Rio (I could be wrong on the artist who sings this one), Cowboy and Only Knows Why by Kid Rock.There are so many many more that I love but that would take forever. | | Country Music do you like it or not? | | I love country music! So many people hate it but I don't think they give it a chance. Everyone says it's all breaking up, sad women, my man/woman left me type songs and that is definately not true. there are also some fantastic Patriotic songs and singers in the country music venue.
Country music singers are the best performers I have ever come in contact with. Unlike rock 'n roll performers, they do not run from the stage and the building when their show is over. Most of them will stay around to sign autographs and generally just talk to their fans. They realize it is their fans who make them and not totally themselves. I don't think their as much into themselves as r&r singers are. They are very much down to earth people and I totally enjoy them and their music. Does anyone else enjoy country music? Who are your favorite singers? Has anyone ever been to Nashville TN and Fanfare? I've been there twice! Such a great time. | |

Listen to just about every song on the radio because every song out there from the heart makes me think of you.
Read just about every book I own because when I bought them (all 15 Janet Evanovich books) it's because you had read them or wanted me to.
Hear that Brookes and Dunn are calling it quits after 20 years and remembering while they didn't write Beautiful Mess, the first song you heard that you said reminded you of us - I know now it was Diamond Rio and they're not calling it quits, but for so long I thought it was Brookes and Dunn... so you get my drift.
Get used to going through a day without talking to you, and you know what?... I don't want to get used to going through a day without talking to you.
I can't do these things because they make me think of you, and while I think of you all the time... these things really get to me.

| | Internet radio--does anyone listen | | Do any of you listen to internet radio? I cannot get good reception in my office at all, even though I'm on the top floor of the building. My husband says it is because of all the electronics. I have discovered Pandora Radio, but it has several glitches, and will sometimes kick me off. The one thing I do like about them, is that you can skip a few songs if you don't like them. But only so many in an hour.
I have a radio that plays Rascal Flatts music and those groups that are similiar like Lonestar and Diamond Rio. You can set your preferences. | |
