| | Newbies Vs Oldies | | I dont know about you guys but when I tell people I listen to country, I mainly get wierd looks..people think I listen to Kenny \rogers, Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton and that's viewed as being 'uncool' but here's the thing...I do...but I also like Kieth urban, Reba, Brooks and Dunn, Blake Shelton, Dixie Chicks, Sugarland...I could go on and on but I am sure you get the idea..

| | Have you ever gotten "up close and personal" with a favorite singer/actor? | | I love country music! People make fun of it all the time but the performers are unlike any other actors or singers.
They love to have their fans around them and talk with them personally asking their names and the whole thing is just so awesome to me!There have been a couple of times that stand out in my mind but the one I'm thinking about right now is a Kenny Chesney concert I went to 2 years ago. I was with some friends and one of them had their 8 year old daughter with her who also loved Kenny. We had awesome seats 3rd row center. Of course this wasn't close enough for me so I took my little friend and walked into the crowd in front of us right to the front of the stage. It always helps to have a child with you. She was bouncing around and having a good old time...as was ol' grandma here. We ended up with elbows on the stage right at his feet while he was performing. The poor guy! His leg was right in front of my hand and I don't know what came over me but I got hold of his jean covered cowboy booted leg! The look on his face was hilarious! He was trying to sing and laugh at the same time. Meanwhile 20 guys were on their way towards me so I put my little friend up for him to... | |
