| Would like your opinions please | | Hello everyone. I am just looking to get some opinions here. I have a friend who is a big time Waylon Jennings fan. This friend idolizes Waylon and he has even set up a myspace profile which is completely dedicated to Waylon. So I was thinking that as a Christmas present for my friend, I would make a scrapbook which is a tribute to Waylon. I would include pics from some of his best selling albums, have pages that tell about some of Waylon's greatest achievements or milestones he overcame, etc. What do you think? Good idea or bad idea? And does anyone have any suggestions as to what sort of Waylon related things I might include in this book to make it extra special? | |

| | Jamey Johnson what a great down to earth guy | | Last night I ditched my hsuband and kids to go hear MCA's recording artist Jamey Johnson, and in spite of his allergies that are flared up, just like mine are today, I have to say what a great nice man, very very family oriented...
He's written songs for people like George Strait, the song Give it away? Written by Jamey Johnson.
One of his first cuts, Honkie Tonk Ba-Donk-A-Donk, which was also written by him.
He has a great strong voice and one that could be compared to Waylon Jennings.
So if you ever get the chance to go see him do so you won't regret it

| What happened to Country Music? | | I have loved Country Music since I was a kid. Anything from Hank Williams (Sr) and Earnest Tubb to Merl Haggard and Waylon Jennings. I enjoy some of the new artists and some of their songs but to me, Country in now moving to Country Rock and even Pop. Some of the NEW COUNTRY is not even in the genre in my opinion. What do you all think? | |

| | autopsy on the big bopper | | KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The son of "The Big Bopper" has hired a forensic anthropologist to try to answer questions about how his father died in the 1959 plane crash that also took the lives of famous early rock `n' rollers Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens.Jay Richardson, who performs tribute shows as "The Big Bopper Jr.," hopes an examination of his father's remains will settle rumors a gun might have been fired on board the plane, and tell whether the Big Bopper might have survived the crash impact and died trying to go for help."I'm not looking for any great bombshell, but then again you never know," Richardson said in a recent phone interview from his home outside Houston.J.P "The Big Bopper" Richardson is buried in Beaumont, Texas.
