myLot Discussions| A tale out of Luck by Willie Nelson | | Has anyone read this book? It's a short book, only 40 chapters. The book also has another contributor, but I am not sure as to whether he is a co-writer or what as it does not specify, though his name is under willie nelson's. It's a fast read, and one that I promise if you have an hour or two, will be read in about that long. Texas Ranger, Indians, Outlaws,Cowboys and Horses all after the Civil War. (they say confederate in the book, I believe.) My fiance and I haven't finished reading it yet, but we're nearly halfway if not over halfway done with the book.

| | Beer for My Horses. | | Any fan of Toby Keith or Willy Nelson will like this movie, I presume. It's recording right now and in about 45 minutes we have to go stop the tape. It's a two hour movie based on a song by Toby Keith Featuring Willie Nelson called (ironically or not) Beer for My Horses. My fiance and I are eager to watch the movie, but we also needed to do a few things so therefore we're recording it and will watch it sometime when we have the chance.Did anyone see a earlier showing of this? For those who aren't aware it's CMT premiere, and as far as I know, will only be on CMT. I'm sure they'll make a DVD of it later, but I doubt it will go to theatres. | |
| | Anyone else watching VH1 Classic? | | This weekend they're having the 80 hours of the 80's, all the way from A to Z. Right now they're on the letter R. It's been a blast from the past! They've shown videos I haven't seen in years and didn't think anyone remembered. And of course all the favorites. Whoever put it together did a really good job. They've had everyone from Elvis Costello to LA Guns. Jermaine Jackson to Queen. Falco and Loverboy, to name a couple more. Even Willie Nelson was thrown in there, which surprised me. Overall it's been awesome. Does anyone else have VH1 Classic? | |

Is nothing sacred? Even distorting the bible! When is it going to be enough for people to understand that this man is the biggest bag of wind to run in a presidential race. His wind of change is like watching a tornado approach unable to stop it but only wait to see what damage it has caused. When will America waken up and see that enough is enough![/b]COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - As Barack Obama broadens his outreach to evangelical voters, one of the movement's biggest names, James Dobson, accuses the likely Democratic presidential nominee of distorting the Bible and pushing a "fruitcake interpretation" of the Constitution. The criticism, to be aired Tuesday on Dobson's Focus on the Family radio program, comes shortly after an Obama aide suggested a meeting at the organization's headquarters here, said Tom Minnery, senior vice president for government and public policy at Focus on the Family. The conservative Christian group provided The Associated Press with an advance copy of the pre-taped...
