myLot Discussions| What's The Worst Baby Name... | | It seems like all the time I’m hearing more and more exotic or down right strange names parents are giving their kids. Now, everyone has a right to name their kids what they want but I’m wondering if some of these parents really think about it. Here’s some examples: Megatron, Hitler, Satina Kay Heather Danielle (first name and three middle names), Victory and Smurfette.I can’t really imagine naming a kid any of these names. The Satina name is nice but I think the three middle names is way too much… I think that any name, like Hitler, that has a lot of stigma attached to it is wise to avoid too. What is the most bizarre name you have heard? What is a name that you would never, ever name your child?**AT PEACE WITHIN**~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

| | Johnny Cash:A Boy Named Sue | | My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me "Sue."Well, he must o' thought that is quite a joke
And it got a lot of laughs from a' lots of folk,
It seems I had to fight my whole life through.
Some gal would giggle and I'd get red
And some guy'd laugh and I'd bust his head,
I tell ya, life ain't easy for a boy named "Sue."Well, I grew up quick and I grew up mean,
My fist got hard and my wits got keen,
I'd roam from town to town to hide my shame.
But I made a vow to the moon and stars
That I'd search the h*nky-tonks and bars
And kill that man who gave me that awful name.
Well, it was Gatlinburg in mid-July
And I just hit town and my throat was dry,
I thought I'd stop and have myself a brew.
At an old saloon on a street of mud,
There at a table, dealing stud,
Sat the dirty, mangy dog that named me "Sue."Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad
From a worn-out picture that my mother'd had,
And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye.

Sat the dirty, mangy dog that named me "Sue."Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad
From a worn-out picture that my mother'd had,
And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye.
He was big and bent and gray and old,
And I looked at him and my blood ran cold
And I said: "My name is 'Sue!' How do you do!
Now your gonna die!!"Well, I hit him hard right between the eyes
And he went down, but to my surprise,
He come up with a knife and cut off a piece of my ear.
But I busted a chair right across his teeth
And we crashed through the wall and into the street
Kicking and a' gouging in the mud and the blood and the beer.
I tell ya, I've fought tougher men
But I really can't remember when,
He kicked like a mule and he bit like a crocodile.
I heard him laugh and then I heard him cuss,
He went for his gun and I pulled mine first,
He stood there lookin' at me and I saw him smile.
And he said:... | |

| | Johnny Cash's Home Ruined in Fire | | By KRISTIN M. HALL, Associated Press Writer
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. - Johnny Cash's longtime lakeside home, a showcase where he wrote much of his famous music and entertained U.S. presidents, music royalty and visiting fans, was destroyed by fire on Tuesday. Cash and his wife, June carter cash, lived in the 13,880-square-foot home from the late 1960s until their deaths in 2003."So many prominent things and prominent people in American history took place in that house — everyone from Billy Graham to bob dylan went into that house," said singer Marty Stuart, who lives next door and was married to Cash's daughter, Cindy, in the 1980s.Stuart said the man who designed the house, Nashville builder Braxton Dixon, was "the closest thing this part of the country had to Frank Lloyd Wright."When Cash moved there, the road was a quiet country lane that skirts Old Hickory Lake. Kris Kristofferson, then an aspiring songwriter, once landed a helicopter on Cash's lawn to pitch him a song. The landmark video for Cash's song "Hurt" was shot inside the house."It was a sanctuary and a...

"There was a lot of writing that took place there."Richard Sterban of the Oak Ridge Boys lives on the same road as Cash. "Maybe it's the good Lord's way to make sure that it was only Johnny's house," Sterban said. The property was purchased by Barry Gibb, a member of the Bee Gees, in January 2006. Gibb and his wife, Linda, had said they planned to restore the home on Old Hickory Lake and hoped to write songs there. They had not yet moved in to the home.Dixon built the three-story house in 1967 for his own family, but Cash fell in love with it. Dixon was reluctant to sell, but Cash kept after him."It was a very, very unusual...
| | Over the past 30 year of music....... | | We has seen the death of many greats....
-Elvis Presley - King of Rock - August 16, 1977
-Johnny Cash - King of Country - September 12, 2003
-James Brown - Godfather of Soul - December 25, 2006
-Michael Jackson - King of Pop - June 25, 2009and with music changing and new styles coming out do we as listeners really want these roles re-filled? Or will it always be filled by their music and inspiration the created?? To me Heaven now has a wonderful Chior with new addition, and I can see with Ray Charles on his piano, Johnny on his guituar and Michael is teaching Elvis some new dance moves and vice versa. Heaven a rocking and a dancing tonight. Peace and my thoughts and prayers to all his family in this difficult time.

| | reencarnation | | So I was listening to "Highway Man"by Johnny Cash and it got me thinking about re-encarnation.Now I don't fully believe in it,but in a sense I do.I believe that after we pass our same kind of spirit and energy can be living in someone else.I mean it is a big world there is probably goin to be somone out there with the same kind of heart and mind as you.But anyways I also got to thinking that if I was re-encarnated,I would want to come back as a bird so that I could fly around and see the world from a whole new perspective.I have always thought that being a bird would be be amazing. So my question to you is what are your thoughts on re-encarantion?(No worries I am tottally open minded and I tottally won't judge anyones beliefs.I love to hear different views)And if you could be re-encarnated (even if you don't believe in it)What would you want to come back as and why?btw:I love Johnny Cash and you should check out that song it is amazing.=) | |
